Omnia Lab vs Gong
Omnia Lab is a sales operations system on top of your CRM — Bitrix24, amoCRM or any other that runs every lead from first touch to payment. Gong answers a different question — how conversations went and where revenue will land — so the two rarely compete.
· Author: Dmitry Marenich
Gong is a US revenue intelligence platform. It captures customer conversations, analyzes them and builds a forecast on top. It does that very well — our own call scoring methodology draws on Gong Labs research, and we say so openly. Omnia Lab works one layer down: it runs the lead itself on a clock, inside Bitrix24 and amoCRM. Below: what Gong is strong at, what sits outside its design, what it costs, and what is verifiable about Russia.
What is Gong, and who is it built for?
Everything here comes from Gong's own pages and help center, checked on 21 August 2026.
- Gong positions itself as a Revenue AI OS: it captures phone and web-conference calls, email, SMS and digital interactions, then builds deal analytics, forecasting, coaching and outbound on top.
- Product modules: Gong Engage, Gong Forecast, Gong Enable, Gong Revenue Graph, Gong AI and AI agents.
- Scale, per the press release of 12 May 2026: more than 5,000 companies, ARR above $500M, growth over 55% year over year, the tenth consecutive quarter of acceleration.
- Named customers include ADP, Anthropic, Canva, Cisco, Docusign, Google, Paycor, Thomson Reuters and Uber for Business; half of the Fortune 10 are customers.
- Delivery model is enterprise sales. There is no self-service signup and no public price — you enter through a quote request.
This is a mature product with a very large install base. It deserves to be judged on what it does, not on what someone failed to find in it.
What does Gong do well?
No hedging here. These are the strengths as Gong states them.
- Conversation analysis at volume. Transcripts, AI summaries and briefs for a call, contact, account or deal, across 70+ languages, with translation into the language you need.
- Forecasting from behavior rather than CRM fields. Gong claims 300+ unique signals and 20% more precision than algorithms based on CRM data, describing the forecast as grounded in reality, not opinion.
- Analysis that turns into action. Gong Engage converts what was said into email, dialer activity and workflows, with a stated average lift of 34% in response rate.
- A real agent lineup. On 21 October 2025 Gong introduced Orchestrate, the Ask Anything agent, AI Deep Researcher for multi-step analysis and AI Data Extractor for auto-filling CRM fields, plus configurable Forecast Boards and Account Boards.
- Two-way compatibility with enterprise AI through MCP: the Gateway pulls outside data into Gong, the Server lets external agents query Gong directly. Named partners include HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Salesforce.
- Broad telephony coverage: roughly 30 systems over API, including 8x8, Aircall, Amazon Connect, Dialpad, Five9, Genesys Cloud, Nextiva, RingCentral, Talkdesk, Twilio Flex, Vonage and Zoom Phone. Per the pricing page, integrating your existing stack is free.
- Recording consent is handled properly: a customizable consent page, an audio notice on joining a web conference, a reminder email 10 minutes before a call, and separate consent settings per team and region.
- Enterprise-grade compliance: SOC2 Type II, ISO 27001/27017/27018/27701, EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification and CSA STAR registry presence, with a choice of US or EU data center.
What does Gong not cover by design?
Not complaints — boundaries. Gong is built around recorded interactions and around three native CRMs. Everything below follows from that.
- Things that did not happen. Gong analyzes interactions that occurred: calls, meetings, email, SMS, digital activity. A lead nobody called or messaged never becomes a conversation, so it never shows up in the analysis.
- Messengers. The data capture documentation lists voice, text and digital activities; WhatsApp and Telegram are not among them, so chats there stay outside the analyzed surface.
- Bitrix24 and amoCRM. Native support covers Salesforce, HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics 365. Other CRMs load through the CRM API in import-only mode, without Engage and Forecast. Only one CRM can be connected at a time.
- Russian telephony. The supported list is North American and European — RingCentral, Aircall, Five9, Genesys, Zoom Phone, Twilio Flex and similar. Mango Office, Telfin, UIS and Bitrix24 telephony are not on it.
- Some analytics on non-English calls. The help center states it plainly: email labels, red flag alerts, Gong-recommended to-dos and example-based smart trackers only generate results for English calls. Question-based smart trackers work in every language.
- A Russian interface. The UI ships in English, French and Canadian French, with localization rolling out gradually. Russian speech is transcribed; the interface is not translated.
- A Russian storage region. Data lives in AWS data centers in the US or the EU, US by default, with processing possible from offices in the US, Israel and Ireland.
Recording law varies by region and industry, and on integrated phone calls the rep is the one who must announce the recording. Configuring compliance is the customer's responsibility.
What does Gong cost, and what is verifiable about Russia?
There is a lot of folklore around both questions, so let's separate official pages, neutral sources, and things we could not verify.
- Gong does not publish prices. The pricing page discloses only the model: licenses are priced per user, there is a platform fee based on the number of users supported, and integrating your existing tech stack is free. Numbers come by request through a form that opens with team size.
- The only public number from a neutral source is the Vendr marketplace page, updated March 2026: median contract $54,900, range $11,184 to $204,033, sample of 593 deals, average negotiated saving 14.17%.
- Figures like $1,200-2,000 per seat per year or a $5,000-50,000 platform fee circulate only on the blogs of Gong's competitors. We found no independent confirmation, so we do not present them as fact.
- We found no statement from Gong about availability in Russia — neither in press releases nor in legal documents.
- What is verifiable: Terms and Conditions clause 13.14 requires the customer to confirm they are not located in a country under US embargo, are not on US restricted-party lists, and will not use the service in violation of US export controls.
- Add to that: storage in the US or EU only, sales through a US enterprise team on a corporate contract, and no Russian CRM or telephony among the supported integrations. We found no publicly confirmed Gong deployments at Russian companies.
What does Omnia Lab do between conversations?
Omnia Lab does not compete with Gong on speech analysis. It sits on a different stretch of the road — the lead's path, where most of the loss happens without a single conversation taking place.
- 01
A lead arrives
A ping with a Take it button in the priority chat. If nobody takes it, the lead is distributed by the shift schedule — only to people working today. A separate check every minute finds deals stuck on the service account.
- 02
The customer is waiting
An escalation ladder at 5, 10, 15, 17 and 20 minutes: team chat, the rep's DM, and the manager at minute 20. At night stages are cancelled rather than postponed, so mornings don't start with an avalanche.
- 03
A rep makes a promise
Words like I'll call you back or I'll send it create a CRM task with a deadline. A private ping 30 minutes before it, a private ping with Done and Postpone buttons 15 minutes after it. Team chat only once the promise is an hour late.
- 04
The customer makes a promise
I'll look at it in an hour becomes a task due at the customer's own deadline plus 30 minutes. If the customer comes back on their own, the task closes itself.
- 05
A call is missed
A Call back task due in 30 minutes. At night Telegram stays quiet and the deadline moves to 30 minutes after the working day starts. A real call longer than 15 seconds closes the task.
- 06
A conversation happens
Transcription, target or not, an analysis scored 0-100, and a review task in the CRM. The outcome sets the band, process quality sets the position inside it. The score is computed by code; the model only finds facts with quotes.
- 07
A deal is closed
Every close to spam or lost is reviewed against the full history: messages, comments, the card, the recent call transcript. An unjustified close is returned to work — no more than once per deal.
- 08
The manager looks at numbers
A read model refreshed hourly, 90 days deep, so the dashboard never hammers the CRM. A prepayment stays an event of its own month forever, spam stages never enter conversion, and rep score and deal score are separate columns.
How do the two compare, criterion by criterion?
For each criterion, where both stand.
- Product class
- Gong: revenue intelligence — conversation analysis, forecasting, coaching, outbound. Omnia Lab: sales operations — running the lead on a clock on top of the CRM.
- Primary data intake
- Gong: calls, web conferences, email, SMS, digital interactions. Omnia Lab: CRM deal events, open-line and messenger conversations, telephony events, shift schedules, classified marketplaces.
- CRM
- Gong: native Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365; others import-only via API, one CRM at a time. Omnia Lab: Bitrix24 as the primary CRM — events, stage robots, tasks, timeline comments, custom fields; amoCRM among supported integrations.
- When no conversation happened
- Gong works with interactions that occurred. Omnia Lab lives exactly there: 5-to-20-minute escalations, shift-based distribution, Call back tasks, follow-ups at 1, 3, 7 and 30 days.
- Writing back to the CRM
- Gong: AI Data Extractor auto-fills fields. Omnia Lab: a deal passport built from the call transcript, tasks with deadlines and reminder profiles, structured verdicts; card comments are appended, never overwritten.
- Language
- Gong: transcription in 70+ languages including Russian; interface in English, French and Canadian French, some analytics English-only. Omnia Lab: Russian interface, reports and notification copy.
- Customer environment
- Gong: one SaaS platform, data in AWS in the US or EU, US by default, no Russian region. Omnia Lab: a separate environment deployed per customer, with the panel branded in their name.
- Rollout
- Gong: enterprise sale starting from a quote request. Omnia Lab: 3-5 days to launch, 85 settings that apply in under 60 seconds without a restart, 33 modules with individual toggles.
- Price
- Gong: not published; per-user licenses plus a platform fee. The neutral reference point is Vendr's $54,900 median contract. Omnia Lab: scoped to the customer's setup, starting from a free audit.
- Russia
- Gong: no official statement; a US export-control clause in the contract, US or EU storage only, no Russian CRM or telephony integrations, no public deployments found. Omnia Lab: built for sales teams running Bitrix24 and amoCRM.
Which one should you pick?
The short answer: look at where your money actually leaks — inside conversations, or between them.
- An English-speaking sales team on Salesforce, HubSpot or Dynamics, lots of Zoom meetings, and a need for behavior-based forecasting and coaching at volume: that is Gong's ground, and it is very strong there.
- A sales team on Bitrix24 or amoCRM, leads arriving through messengers and classified marketplaces, and a pain that is less about how the call went and more about who never got an answer and what was promised: that is Omnia Lab.
- Few conversations, and everything leaking between them — unanswered leads, forgotten promises, deals closed to spam in one click. No conversation analysis closes that gap, whoever builds it.
- Many conversations, in English, and a need to find market patterns inside them. A deadline and escalation layer will not replace that.
- A global company with a Russian subsidiary can run both layers: Gong on the international side in Salesforce, Omnia Lab on the local side in Bitrix24. Different jobs, no conflict.
If this page convinced you that Gong is what you need, that is a fine outcome. We would rather you pick correctly than pick us.
Частые вопросы
- Can we use both together?
- Yes, when they sit on different regions or different jobs. Gong connects to one CRM at a time and is at its best on Salesforce, HubSpot or Dynamics; Omnia Lab lives in Bitrix24 and amoCRM. They overlap in exactly one place — scoring conversations. Pick a single source of truth for the score there, so no rep ends up with two different grades for one call.
- Is Gong available in Russia?
- We found no statement from Gong either way. The verifiable facts: Terms and Conditions clause 13.14 carries a US export-control representation; data can be stored only in the US or EU; sales run through a US enterprise team on a corporate contract; no Russian CRM or telephony appears among supported integrations. We found no publicly confirmed deployments at Russian companies. Conclusions about your own situation are best drawn with counsel.
- Does Gong handle Russian?
- Russian speech, yes — the help center lists it as Russian (Russia), and transcription and analysis work across 70+ languages. The interface is another matter: it ships in English, French and Canadian French. And some features — email labels, red flag alerts, Gong-recommended to-dos, example-based smart trackers — only generate results for English calls.
- What does Gong cost?
- Officially, prices are not disclosed. The public model is per-user licenses plus a platform fee based on the number of users supported, with existing stack integrations free. The one neutral number we could verify is the Vendr marketplace, March 2026: median contract $54,900, range $11,184 to $204,033 across 593 deals, average negotiated saving 14.17%.
- Does Omnia Lab analyze calls too?
- It does: transcription, a 0-100 score, recommendations, a review task in the CRM and a separate layer of company-specific rules. But that is one module out of 33. The main work is running the lead — distributing it by shift schedule, escalating at 5, 10, 15, 17 and 20 minutes, creating tasks for promises made by reps and by customers, and reviewing whether a close was justified.
- What results has Omnia Lab produced?
- Measured before and after rollout at current customers: the share of deals with a prepayment went from 4-7% to 13%, median first response time from 32 to 6.5 minutes, and revenue grew 33% in four months without adding headcount. Rollout takes 3-5 days.
